The Firm was founded by Attorney Liza-Mari Correia in April 2021, with a vision of establishing a dynamic and collaborative law practice focused on delivering practical and commercially sound legal solutions.

The Firm was later expanded following the return of Attorney Mumbi Nsofu-Kariko, who resumed her practice in Botswana after briefly practising as an Advocate in Zambia. This expansion brought together the complementary experience and expertise of two accomplished female legal practitioners and led to the Firm adopting the name Correia Kariko Legal Practitioners, reflecting its broader capabilities and commitment to serving a wider range of clients and legal needs.
